Who We Are
Hello Again !
At Essential Gardens we strive to do things organically - from seeds, to the soil and then transplanting. We want to unsure we give our plants the best life possible - providing healthy food for us and our loved ones.
Sometimes, starting a garden can be overwhelming. No joke. Designing the layout, accumulating the supplies, planting and everything in between - seems like a lot to handle. That’s where we come in - we will help in any way we can to attain your goal.
This Earth provides so much beauty - so why not try to create a place to welcome nature back into our lives?
It all started 14 years ago….
Dustin and I lived in a tiny apartment with a small balcony. We would grocery shop like any regular couple, create the decent meals and not really notice the quality of food we were feeding ourselves.
Once we started to grow some vegetables on our balcony - we noticed the difference in taste! We were curious on what else we could grow!
When we were able to move to a house with a small backyard and a sliver of grass - we decided to create our own garden! I was worried and stressed that I didn’t have a green thumb to maintain a bigger garden!
Dustin encouraged me to destress in dirt, take a step back, be patient and most importantly be more entuned with nature. He made gardening easy for me - allowing the knowledge to flow and mistakes to happen. This gave me the ability explore my creativity and together we were able to grow peas, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, green onions, strawberries and the list goes on!
We were fascinated by what we were able to produce with just the basics! Soil, water, sunlight and a little love - was all we needed!
Having a garden made me truly appreciative of food! The quality, the taste, the freshness, the beauty of it all was astonishing! I had no idea what I was missing my whole life! The fruits and vegetables we all buy at the store are not and will never be as fresh as when you grow it yourself!
Why we started Essential Gardens:
One day I noticed how much Dustin enjoyed educating others about plants, soil and how to care for them. The idea of consulting others was something we spoke about often and made us want to bring it to life more.
Gardens can be simple or complex - You decide and then let us know.
We try to encourage everyone to grow something. Though our solution for a healthier life may not be yours and that’s ok. Having garden puts our mind to ease and allows our souls to thrive. We only want others to experience what a few seeds did for us.
Thank you and we hope to meet you soon!
